Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes. You can upgrade from Starter to Pro or Business at any time. The new plan activates instantly, and your existing streams continue without interruption.
What is bitrate and why does it matter?
Bitrate is the amount of data your stream sends every second, measured in kilobits per second (kbps).
A higher bitrate gives better video quality but uses more bandwidth.
A lower bitrate saves bandwidth but may reduce quality.
Example: Streaming at 2,500 kbps (2.5 Mbps) for one hour uses about 1.1 GB of data.
How does bitrate affect my bandwidth usage?
Bandwidth is the total amount of data transferred from our servers to your viewers.
Formula:
Example: 2 Mbps × 100 viewers × 60 minutes ≈ 90 GB.
How do I calculate how much bandwidth I need?
Think about your bitrate, average viewers, and hours streamed.
Small church service: 1 Mbps × 50 viewers × 2 hours = 45 GB
Online class: 1.5 Mbps × 20 viewers × 1 hour = 10.8 GB
Concert: 3 Mbps × 500 viewers × 3 hours = 3,240 GB (≈ 3.2 TB)
What is HLS?
HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) is a streaming protocol created by Apple. It works by breaking your stream into small chunks of video that can play smoothly on almost any device.
What is an M3U8 link?
An M3U8 link is the file format used by HLS. It’s basically a playlist file that tells a player where to find all the chunks of your stream. You’ll see a link like:
Copy this into a player or app, and your stream will play on mobile, desktop, and smart TVs.
Can I use different players?
Yes. From the control panel you can generate embed codes for Iframe, VideoJS, and Clappr. Or you can just copy the universal M3U8 URL into any player or app that supports HLS.
What is latency and how low is it?
Latency is the delay between your live event and what viewers see. Our RTMP hosting provides normal HLS latency of about 40–60 seconds. With low-latency HLS (available on Pro and Business), delays can drop to under 10 seconds.
Do you support ads and monetization?

What happens if I exceed my bandwidth limit?
We’ll never cut you off without notice. When you reach 80% of your monthly transfer, you’ll receive an alert. We also recommend checking your Wowza control panel regularly. If you need more bandwidth, you can add 1TB for $50 or simply upgrade to a higher plan.
